Hi Group!, Mars is getting smaller currently the disc size has shrunk less then twelve as of today and getting smaller in the coming weeks. For its apparition this time around many features and events were recorded this is a composition from Jan. 13th thru Feb. 17th, On this composition images from Jan.27th closest to Earth and to the Sun Jan.29th (Opposition) and a Dust storm at the North Polar Hood region are included in this set plus residual events from the recedeing NPH on the rim giving a violet/blue effect on the soil and the largest volcano in our solar system Olympus Mons. It will be four years from now until its next visit at this size, The next visit in two years from now will be slightly smaller. Clear Skies

Hi Jaicoa,

Those are absolutely wicked images of Mars. I think they could be some of your best Mars images yet. You didn't upload it to the Gallery :-). The image will find a more permanent residence in the gallery vs. posts that could be pruned one day. I don't care if members upload to both as it's a great way to show off their work and share the details in the forums with others, but I would always upload to the gallery if you have the time. You can even use one of the links the Gallery produces and embed it in the post.

Once again great job on that image. I just thought that I'm mentioning about uploading to the gallery to one of the people who does it on a regular basis. You'll have to excuse my reminders, some habits are hard to break.

Thanks,
Darryl
