Its only a matter of time before they start constructing telescopes bigger and bigger, so ultimately the largest ground based telescopes now will be small compared to what lies ahead in the near future. Its like computers, and how as soon as you set up your new system, they release a quantum computer

Welcome to Extreme Astronomy, animalz!

As to telescopes getting bigger and bigger, I have to think that there's got to be some limit where it becomes not worthwhile due to diminishing returns due to atmospheric distortions and other earthbound factors. Ultimately, I'd think that space based scopes will rule the day with them becoming so common, sophisticated, and accessible that big ground based scopes will be only for amateurs. Of course that's probably a long way off yet, but,... I can dream can't I?

i remeber reading a while back about putting scopes on the moon. think of it no atmosphere ,chose a place like MARE IMBRIUM or any other mare , u get strait smooth ground and almust no seismic activity, so u line up a few 100s and u got ur self a huge arrays of telescopes.

Maybe scopes on the Moon will be considered as NASA's intended return to the Moon project gets underway. But I imagine that there would have to be a special mission specifically to place one on the Moon's surface. But I would also imagine that protection of the equipment would be a major task - wouldn't want a stray meteorite to demolish the whole effort, etc.

Oh, ozzmoziz, thanks for the reply, your site is nice, and you can enhance it gradually by using " how the other such sites got a developed views", try try and try and upgrade, because this is a continues process on the net"upgrading", and it is easy, only our efforts are necessary, and the same you are taking no problem.

Oz', you just keep a high level optimism on the focussing the images and its output, because if we are optimist then we can only show to the world that how we can do the nice things in the nice way.

secondly, it would be nice to refer to your friend, who did a java, or some another website building task, he will 100% assist you in rebuilding the tools in the site so that the same content of the site can be enhance with a nice buttons, background and so on, and this is possible. so nothing is cause to stick with the nervousness, ways are there, just to opt the way.
