Meteorite Kit

I just purchased a Meteorite kit from Meade http://www.meteoritekit.com/. I got it on sale for being a Meade 4M member. It will sure beat having to go all over the world to try and find all these specimens on my own, needless to say the time and expertise involved. I also purchased a book called "Falling Stars" they were selling at the same time to supplement the kit and to help boost my knowledge about meteorites. I wouldn't normally buy something like this but it really captured my interest and curiosity, and above all I just found it fascinating. I can't say I have seen anything like this before from a reputable source with so many samples.

Wow - that meteorite kit looks impressive indeed! What a great way to spark someone's interest - and, I'm thinking the kit would be a fantastic addition to a science or astronomy teacher's bag of educational aids. Even at $399 (w/o 4M status), it's not like it will be outdated anytime soon or wear out or anything. I'd think it's a good value.
