The Sombrero Galaxy in color

Hi Folks,
I managed to get out last night, the weather finally cooperated!
although the transparency was poor, I took a total of 30 - 30 second subs with the 1st generation Meade DSI one shot CCD camera, and My 6 inch F/8 refractor, with the stik 0.5x focal reducer.
I did not use a minus violet filter to reduce CA, just to see how bad it would really be.

The shot was unguided and processed with the Meade Envision software,
I did try to upload it in the members section, but for some reason or another, My image doesn't want to upload properly.

Dennis

Hi Dennis,

I looked at the thumbnail thinking what a nice image and then went to see the bigger version and it's not there.

I'll try and see why it didn't upload to the gallery later today.

I actually got out the past couple of nights myself. Most of the time was spent getting things tuned up such as training the RA PEC and trying new equipment configurations.

Regards,

Hi Dennis,

I just uploaded your image into the gallery and it worked. I am not sure why it didn't work for you. It looked like the gallery accepted your image and then didn't display the large version. I'll still take a closer look at things later.

Regards,

Thanks Darryl!

I am also trying to figure out how I can attach several images re: that new variable in a E-mail to you.

I haven't forgotten its way too important, if you dont mind i'll have to send you the images in several e-mails along with any pertinent facts.
Ill have to assemble the e-mails in the right order so that we are both on the same page and there is no confusion.
Im planning on starting tonight, is this ok with you?

Dennis
