M-82 With my 6 inch achro

Hi Folks,
I finally was able to get out for a short time near New Moon in mid April
The sky parted just long enough for me to get roughly aligned, and Image M-82.
I also imaged M-51 and I'm dissapointed that I was not able to get the resolution and sensitvity that I needed to confirm a possible new variable.
The DSI pro is a much better camera!

Im not to happy with the DSI one shot , which is what I am using nowadays, I had to sell the DSI pro, it was a real pain in the neck trying to keep the filters in the filterslide from dewing and getting dusty.

This shot is unguided and the mount was poorly aligned, yet I still managed to take 35- 30 sec subs, you can see were slight field rotation is apparent at the edges of the field of view, also small purple halos around the brighter stars stick out like a sore thumb.

Dennis

Great Start off Dennis, some more processing to remove gradients and like Dragon Star says keep on practicing.
