web camera

Well Ive playing with my web cam and its preety cool .
Ive got a long way to go yet, Ive been chatting with a few people and they suggest the use of a barlow and a focal reducer for the Nexstar C8i .
Anyone used a barlow or a focal reducer ?
Any input on these items if anyone has used or uses them would be good.
Well Darryl, I know what you mean about clouds getting in the way as you mentioned in a posting I read.
I go out in the front yard the other night with the binocs and there it is, Comet Swan and I come in put away the binocs I come out with the Telescope .
Well I didnt even get a chance to set-up , in the time it took to put the binocs away, the clouds moved in and I couldnt see a friggan star.
Like my son tells me we,know what the weather is going to be like . He says anytime Im hoping for clear skies and Im planning to go out ...he says its going to be the ****s...so far he is batting a 1000.
But regardless , Im going to go out tomoro....lol.

I have no advice, but I'm glad you like your new cam.

Good luck.

I've used them, but I can't say I would be an expert on how. I mainly use a focal reducer when I image as it tends to give a wider field of view and requires shorter exposures for deep sky objects. The barlow would work well when trying to image the planets.

I bet he rubs it in too!
