Triangulum Galaxy M33 NGC 598

Its nice to be having some clear weather and good transparent skies at the moment. I just uploaded an image of M33 the Triangulum Galaxy. M33 NGC598 is a spiral galaxy in the constellation Triangulum. Distance about 2.6 million light years. This is another object which I will eventually image with a wider field of view.

Thanks. Its my second season of trying my hand at astrophotography. I can admit that I am completely addicted and having a lot of fun. I like doing things that have an almost endless learning curve.

Nice picture indeed! I Never get tired of looking at the handiwork of others when it comes to astronomy. Wish I had the equipment and talent to do some astrophotography myself. There is just Sooo much more to appreciate than just live viewing with binoculars or telescopes.

Hi,

Astrophotography is just another way to appreciate the visual aspects of our universe. Looking through a telescope provides another way of observing. It just depends on what you prefer. I find looking into the heart of a globular cluster with a telescope to be a very inspiring and enjoyable past time, and a different experience than looking at it as an image I just captured.

Regards,
