M-13 Aug 11 2007

Hi Folks, Im having problems between my laptop display and my Desktop display with images, I made an attempt at M-13 this is a test upload of the image so I can tell if I need to adjust my laptops settings

The Image is a total of 40-30 sec subs with the Meade DSI one shot 1st generation Camera and a Celestron 6 inch C6RGT f/8 Refractor with a 0.5X focal reducer.
If this image does not show up like what I have on my laptop I will be uploading it again after making display adjustments.

Hi Dennis, Your image looks pretty good just a tab more of brightness and a tab less of blue color. Clear Skies

I'm going thru the same situation my lcd is a pain to adjust so i have to compare with my crt monitor to get it close.

Hi Dennis,

I haven't heard from you in a while. I am glad to see a new image from you.

Your image is showing depth which is what I like to see in images of Globulars.

Regards,

Thanks Jaicoa,
my laptop has a TFT display (Transistor film Technology), A big difference from an LCD, its funny you mentioned the Blue , I noticed it after the upload when I used my desktop, It has something to do with this new display technology, Now if I could only get my Image processing software to work with the windows Vista Basic that my new desktop has it would be much easier.

Hi Darryl,
it's very good to hear from you my friend!
Yes its been a while, I had a real bad bout with my MS that hospitalized me for over a week, I have since regained my strength, so I'm back in the saddle again!
The weather up here has been lousy, seems like every new Moon, it's always to hazy or just plain cloudy! I cant wait for fall, this brings much clearer skies but then the fight with Dew is on full bore. I just have to lug more batteries around!

I stacked 40-30 sec subs for this image with no auto guiding, just a really good drift align, I don't have PEC either, but I have learned how to minimize the effects of PEC with the settings of the DSI in the capture process.

I also developed a system for drift aligning and a go-to alignment right through the DSI live view window, this has sped up the drift align process immensely, I like being able to use the go-to, and have the objects in the filed of view of the DSI, without having to remove the camera and insert an eyepiece for centering, this makes imaging a lot more pleasurable. I probably will replace the existing image of M-13 in the Photo gallery section with the new shot I posted.

Do you know anything about the Windows Vista Basic OS?
I can't seem to get registax or photo shop 7.0 to run on it, even with all the updates installed.
