Mangler

What they are implying is that say you were falling into a black hole, you reach inside the even horizon, if you were facing the black hole and had your head turned slightly, the light from the back of your head will wrap around and enter the eye as it streams down the side of your face, only a small amount, and in only one eye.

Well, yes and no, light even though is being changed by gravity, is still traveling at the speed of light wherever it goes, so you would have to go faster then light to see yourself as you were, and you would have to be down wind from the gravitational pull if you get what I mean. Weird concept.

Get what I mean? If not let me know so I can make myself clearer...

Ok, I think we're both talking about the same thing now...

I don't really think it's possible though. But I think this is what Diana's question was about. Why did Diana have to ask such a confusing question...?

In the center of our galaxy, and it is a super massive one too, it has the mass of 4 million suns.

Maybe it's too far away, but have we ever tried to send a probe to a black hole to study it? Would the radio waves the probe sent back to us be affected by the gravitational pull (would they even make it back)?
