Teaching Astronomy Program

I am an interpreter at a state park. I am a total novice at astronomy, but have to put some beginning astronomy programs together for young children and beginning adults. Any suggestions on materials, books, web sites, etc. where I can learn to put a program together?

Hi Steve,

Welcome to Extreme Astronomy,

Here is a link to a book from the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada of which I am a member. The society is recognized internationally. This book was the first thing that came to mind when I read your post. I hope this helps.

Hi Steve, welcome!

Any books by Stephen Hawking are GREAT for learning from basic to advanced Astronomy and Cosmology. His most famous book, and perhaps the most famous Astronomy book ever written, "A Brief History of Time" is an excellent place to start.
