Darryl,
I sent a e-mail to that Euro agency trying to find out if they just used a dss1r band image as a base for the hubble inset.
its murky but that is what others are saying may be the case, another scenario is that the dss1r band 1956 image is a plate defect, and i have a hot pixel or an interloper but the odds of all that?
Pretty wild indeed!

Ozz.
I finally found one in yahoo its a luminance shot but it shows in the lrgb,
no copy right info and no date given, I book marked the site and hereis the shot with the star circled in red.
what do you think?
