Binoculars Binoculars have great portability and are easy to setup. Binoculars are also a great tool to get started in observing the night sky. Discuss them here.

New Binos - Celestron SkyMaster 15x70 Binoculars

hey

i just bought myself some skymaster 15x70, and to tell you the trought they are a very good pair for the price i paid 115$ can. when i look in the small end at a bright abject the two lenses show perfect circles , and looking at the big lense the color is a dark green meaning a good quality lense.
the focus is very easy to achive, all and all there good binoes for the price.
too bad i broke off one of the lenses one night, i had to put apoxy on it, only took me 3 tries to get it right, and its solid. i still achive a perfect focus.

Got some binos too

Ive got those 25 x 100 Binos that Celestron makes.
Celestron and SkyWatcher are both owned by Synta

Ive got a buddy that is letting me use his Manfroto Tripod with the video mount , and what a difference, the tripod supports them very well and the fluid movement really smooth.

As one of the other Extreme Astronomy members was mentioning(maybe Dennis? cant remember) his Manfroto mount, I can only say a superb choice for a mount, and fairly portable too.Supports the binos great.
The 3-D viewing /or the illusion of the full image with binos is nice.
Im bringing them to SSSP. Rock on.

Clear Skies
Dave

Hi,

When you say one of the lenses broke off your Celestron SkyMaster's, did you drop them or something?

Regards,

Hi, had a prob when I bought my Tak, a mount for it, found it in a Manfroto pan and tilt head pro video tripod, never looked back, and cheaper than the astro tripods on the market, the pan and tilt so smooth,
like moving through oil.
