Researchers using NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope have discovered large amounts of simple organic gases and water vapor in a possible planet-forming region around an infant star, along with evidence that these molecules were created there.

In the quest for alien life, and if it exists.
Should not one consider the remarkable scenario that exists on our
planet, an ozone shield that protects life on earth from radiation from
our sun, a moon that keeps the earth from 'wobbling' on its axis, so stabilising extreme weather and climate patterns. The presence of organic
molecules on another planet proves nothing about the presence of life.
Least of all how we know it.
