I was thinking of writing some type of review once I get to use it, but I'm not really sure which topic to put it in... Eyepieces (because that's what you stick 'em in), or Telescopes (because that's what you stick it in)...

I guess by the time I'm read to write it I'll have figured it out.

Ok that explains part of the cloudy weather I have, but somebody must have bought something else.

It looks like a nice diagonal and for the price, it appears to be quite a bargain. What is your initial impression of the build?

Thanks for creating the Accessories topic and moving the thread, Darryl.

Workmanship and overall looks appear to be flawless. The seams where the steel plate meets the body are smooth.
Took the dust caps off and looked inside, everything was threaded and coated with anti-reflective material. The mirror looked flawless (I'm no mirror expert, but it looked pretty good).
The brass compression ring locked the eyepieces in nice and tight.

Something I didn't consider when I bought it: Some of my eyepieces have a groove in the barrel for the lock screw to go into. The compression ring happens to be centered right over the edge of the groove. Would it affect anything if I clamped down the eyepiece with it slicking out slightly so that the compression ring has a flat surface to tighten down on? I'm assuming it would affect the focus slightly, but that's no big deal. Is there anything else that might be an issue?
If I had to, it looks like it would be possible to take the compression ring out - then it would work like a regular thumbscrew (or just rotate the ring so that the screw goes through the gap in it).

I'll give a better review of it once I get to use it (which looks like it will be at least a few days from now). I want to compare it to my old one and see what kind of differance it makes.

Well, I finally got to use it last night and tonight. Although I did notice small improvements, I was not blown away. I didn't really expect a drastic change though, so it wasn't a disappointment. I have a feeling more aperature would have shown bigger differences (I'm using a 90mm Mak).

I compared it to my old one looking at the Moon, Saturn, and various stars. Everything seemed to focus sharper, but other than that I didn't notice a huge difference.

mangler, do you think that it would be good to replace the camera instead of repairing the old one by using costly accesories !

I didn't really expect a huge difference. I think it will make a bigger difference on my new scope - which I don't have yet. Between fixing the Jeep and paying the bills there's not enough money left for the scope I want next.

how big a single man can make the "big telescope", its not a job of just keeping two lenses one is big and one is short in the pipe, and you know in the market, the sellers says the rates for purchasing "in sky rocketing prices ", its not a easy task to acquire a telescope for an individual.
