| Sphinx D power Connector
New to the forum-- I recently bought a Sphinx D for my Televue NP101is and was dismayed to see what looked like a proprietary power connector. I asked Vixen about it and their Customer service guy told me it was just a Radio Shack "N" connector in their adapt-a-plug series. I went to Radio Shack and it is not an "N".... it is the "D" connector.
By using this plug setup you can make ends for various power supplies without having to pay premium prices to Vixen for their 12v cigarette plug or their AC adapter-- you can use a cheaper generic supply and solder the adapt a plug ends on it. |
