If you look at the CMB map of observable universe minutely you will see that universe is arrayed as if it lies in a special axis, when the hot and cold spots of the universe are arrayed in octapole of the CMB map and the axis is parpendicular to the axis of the solar systems.hOwever it is only our observation. If it becomes correct than the CMB mapshould be contaminated by some nearby staff that either emmits or absorb the Microwave. and what is that?

Hi Pranab,

I find this polarization a bit disturbing, if the CMB is corrupted then our age calculations could be way off! combine this with a dark matter halo that must exist around our galaxy and the incalculable interactions of dark matter and dark energy with light, it would seem to me that we could have the age of the universe completely wrong. even the expansion or acceleration of our universe could be way off.

I find it intriguing that light is not constant when moving through different mediums, yet dark matter and dark energy which are a medium of sorts effect not only light but matter also is effected, could it be that we are gazing through a cloud of dark matter and dark energy fields that have skewed our interpretations?

We always point to the CMB as proof that our Doppler redshift measurements and interpretations of cosmic expansion rates are correct, now if this is corrupted by something else that we dont know about, I have serious doubts about the age of our Universe.

I was just postulating the idea that a dark matter cloud that must surround us and dark energy, are both combining to throw of our observations or instruments
Since we know nothing about this exotic matter and energy how could this be ruled out?

This has left me with more questions and doubts about the age and expansion of our Universe.
