I seem to remember seeing something about this guy. In his design, and theory for a "time machine" he states that it "is" possible to send objects back in time, however, only as far back to the initial creation of the machine. Such as it requires the machine to go back, so of course it cant go back to before the machine ever existed!
Now, just imagine, the moment he starts it up, a note comes through it telling him to destroy it....mmmm parallel universes ftw.
