Heartman's mask

Hey guys, over the last couple of days, I designed a nice new heartman's mask for for telescope. I used the beautiful designes from http://www.asignobservatory.com/DIY.aspx , and modified them to my own needs. I have never seen a heartmans mask like mine, but I'm sure one has been made, and I'm sure it will work. I needed to modify this design a bit, as I really, really didn't like the idea of having any object anywhere near the corrector lense on my nice, new, expensive telescope, so I had to have some way for it to be held at a distance. What I did instead, was designed it as a "cap" to go over the end of my telescope. I measured the plywood circle to the diameter of the lense cap exterior, then put oak veneer around the out edge, forming a "wall" around the disk. I used the design from A.S.I.G.N. for the triangles, and put a wooden knob in the centre. I painted it all matte black. I also put some special foam tape that I use at work for air conditioning systems on the inside, to form a soft, and snug fit when I put it on. I'm about to head to crim class though, so no time to post pictures now, however I'll post them later today.

Clear Skies,
Buldric.
