Re: a New magazine

HI folks,

I was stunned today when I went tot the post office box to retrieve my mail, Inside my PO box was a new magazine that I have never heard of and that I never requested.

The name of the magazine is Astronomy Technology Today, Your complete guide to astronomical equipment.

I have to admit I happen to like it very much, there were many articles on all sorts of new equipment that manufacturers are just now starting to make available to the amateur or professional astronomer.

The magazine was pleasantly missing all of those ads that usually take up half of the other mags that deal with astronomy, I may just purchase the subscription.
Here is a detailed list of the feature articles,
1) Astrodon custom cases
2) Scope stuff
3) Beta testing SkySheds POD (first take on the POD)
4) Meade's 16 inch Light bridge ( all about the new 16 inch Light bridge)
5) The Televue Is ( first looks at the new Televue CCD optimized Imaging systems.
6) Collimation and the Blug ( a review of Howie Glatters new collimator)
7) DSC Computer ATM Project ( adding Orion's Intelliscope system to a Meade light bridge).
8) The Rosin Hyperboloidal Astrograph ( wide field astrographic imaging)
9) NEAF 2007 ( all about the the years newest and best products)
10) Astronomy Technology Today ( an update on several items)
12) For Laboratories ( introduces flash astronomy)

The list of features goes on with hardly any advertisements.
I am left wondering How they got my address since they are associated with a Yahoo group, an on line community that I have never joined or posted to, nevertheless I am glad the I received it.

Has anyone else received this new magazine?

Dennis
