Dpab,
You are definetly farther north than I am.
Im at latt N 43, 03.25 long W 071 12.72.
the heavy rains, flooding and, an early spring, has made the bugs here real bad, the tick population is now worse than ever, thanks to a decrease in Snow fall amounts this past winter.
Normally I just use a can of OFF repellant ,making sure that I do not get any on my hands, but I still have to check for ticks now, with the warmer weather, I usually remove at least 5 or more from my clothing after an observing session.
Another big problem this year is the huge amount of pollen in the air, it just gets everywhere, I have a Deep blue Pick up truck that is all green by the end of the day, You can see clouds of pollen in the air, its not the kind of early summer to bring out the 12 inch dob with all that pollen floating around.
